Global Student USA is a popular international student health insurance plan ideally suited for international students and scholars traveling outside their homeland for higher education. This international student medical insurance plan offers comprehensive benefits for international students at competitive prices.

The Global Student USA insurance policy meets the requirements of most of the universities, institutions, community colleges and educational programs in the US which admits foreign students. F1 and J1 visa holders studying in the United States can also purchase this global student insurance plan.

The Global Student USA international student insurance policy covers a wide range of benefits like doctor consultation, prescription drugs, in-patient and out-patient hospital services, pregnancy related issues like complications, child birth and miscarriage and any other emergency medical or travel assistance services required including repatriations and evacuations for covered emergencies.

Non US citizens who are between 14 and 64 years of age and are enrolled in any full-time educational program at an international level overseas are eligible for the Global Student USA plans. This student insurance plan does not offer coverage for dependants. In addition, there are no optional coverage benefits available.

The renewal process is also very straightforward. The insured can continue availing benefits if the premiums are paid prior to the expiry date of the international student insurance policy.

In case the insured misses out on paying the premium on time, there is a 31-day grace period allotted for renewal. The insured would be eligible for full refunds if the policy certificate is submitted within 10 days of purchase after which no refunds are available.

The international student insurance plan is effective once the completed application form is submitted along with the initial payment. You may also specify the effective start date according to your preference. The benefits of this plan are very restrictive during the period of stay in the home country.

This global student insurance plan remains valid until the policy lapses or the insured fails to meet the eligibility requirements of the plan. The termination date of the policy can also be mentioned in the application form if there is a specific preference for the same.
