Driving With No Insurance: It Is Just Not Worth It

Driving with no insurance is very unsafe. Many people attempt to save a few dollars a month by not paying for insurance but it ends up costing way more than a few dollars. It is very unsafe, illegal, and costly if caught or in an accident.

Taking this chance is not worth it. Driving with financial responsibility just makes the ride from point A to point B much smoother and with a lot less worries.

Driving without insurance can be very expensive. If a person is caught driving without insurance they have to face many penalties, some of which include fines that are imposed by the courts that cost anywhere from one hundred to one thousand dollars. In some states the drivers car may even get seized by the court so they would have to pay to get it back. In some cases the driver may even end up in jail.

If a person is pulled over without proof of insurance, they will need to go to court and they will have a chance to show the proof of insurance and it needs to show that it was valid on the day the driver was ticketed, so the driver does not get to pull a fast one and buy insurance after they are pulled over but before the court date. If the driver still can not produce proof of insurance then they will face heavy penalties that can remain on their driving record for ten years. If there was an accident involved they could have a criminal offense that will be on their record permanently.

The penalties with be even stricter if there was an accident involved. If there were injuries involved then the driver would be in charge of paying for all damages incurred on the vehicle and for all the medical costs. This could get very costly and may become a burden for many people who do not have insurance and were not financially responsible.

It is very difficult to get insurance after not having insurance due to late payments, missed payments, or canceled policies. Insurance companies have little to no sympathy for those kinds of things so they are reluctant to insure your vehicle. So it is very difficult to receive insurance after not having insurance.

No one should be caught driving without insurance. It is definitely not worth it. There are so many risks involved making driving without insurance a huge hassle. Getting pulled over or into a car accident makes it even more of a hassle and not too many people have the financial ability to cover the cost of injuring someone or their car. This just gives people something to think about when they drive without insurance.
